Number 9

Black IPA

ABV: 7.2%

Tasting Notes

Number 9 is our 9 Year Anniversary Black IPA. To celebrate 9 years, we decided to bring back another iteration of a fan favorite we brewed earlier in the year (Fistul of Thumbs), but this time we amped up the grain bill, hopping rate, and ABV to give a bold yet still highly drinkable beast of a beer. Brewed with midnight wheat for color, and Simcoe, Amarillo, Citra, and Mosaic, this beer has huge notes of pine, bakers chocolate, orange citrus, pizzelle Italian cookie, and slight berry notes. This version finished a bit drier than the previous version, and it is all the better for it!
